Humana Medicare plans 2027 are available now to compare. CMS released 2027 plan details on October 1, 2026, and Humana is one of the biggest names in Medicare Advantage. It is also making some of the biggest changes for 2027: Humana is discontinuing plans that cover roughly 600,000 members and leaving Minnesota, while still offering plans across most of the country.
This guide covers Humana’s 2027 plan types, what is changing, who is affected, and how to compare Humana Medicare Advantage plans 2027 in your area before Annual Enrollment closes December 7.

Humana is one of the two largest Medicare Advantage companies in the country, along with UnitedHealthcare. Depending on where you live, Humana’s 2027 lineup may include:
Plan names, costs and benefits vary by county, and not all plans offer all benefits. Review the plans in your ZIP code, such as Humana Medicare Advantage plans in Florida, to see what is available where you live.
Humana is making significant changes for 2027 as it focuses on profitability after several difficult years:
If your Humana plan is continuing, your Annual Notice of Change lists exactly what is different for 2027. If it is ending, your non-renewal letter explains your options, including a Special Enrollment Period.

Humana Medicare Advantage plans cover everything Original Medicare Part A and Part B cover, and most include Part D drug coverage. Depending on the plan and area, 2027 Humana plans may also include:
Not all plans offer all benefits, and allowance amounts can change from year to year. Check the specific 2027 benefits on any Humana plan you are considering.

With any Humana Medicare Advantage plan, you keep paying your Medicare Part B premium ($202.90 per month in 2026; the 2027 amount is announced in the fall), plus any plan premium. Many Humana plans have a $0 plan premium.
When you use care, you pay copays or coinsurance. Every Medicare Advantage plan, including Humana’s, has an annual out-of-pocket maximum for covered medical services. Once you reach it, the plan pays 100% of covered care for the rest of the year. That limit is one of the main advantages over Original Medicare, which has no cap.
For 2027, many plans are raising their out-of-pocket maximums and drug deductibles, and the Part D out-of-pocket cap rises to $2,400. Costs and benefits vary by location, so check the details of the specific plan in your area.

Humana offers Special Needs Plans (SNPs) in many areas:
How D-SNP benefits work with Medicaid depends on your state. In Florida, for example, Humana works with the state’s Agency for Health Care Administration on these plans. Humana is also pulling some dual-eligible plans from counties for 2027, so D-SNP members should check their notices carefully.
You can enroll in a 2027 Humana Medicare plan during Annual Enrollment, October 15 to December 7, 2026, for coverage starting January 1, 2027.
If your current Humana plan is ending, you also have a Special Enrollment Period. If you are already in a Medicare Advantage plan, you can make one switch during the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period, January 1 to March 31, 2027.

If you are one of the roughly 600,000 Humana members whose plan is not renewing for 2027:

Humana remains one of the largest Medicare Advantage companies for 2027, offering HMO, PPO, Special Needs and Part D plans across most of the country. But 2027 brings real changes: about 600,000 members are losing their plans, Humana is leaving Minnesota and 57 counties, and many plans are raising out-of-pocket costs.
Whether your Humana plan is continuing or ending, compare your options during Annual Enrollment, October 15 to December 7, 2026. Check your doctors, drugs and total costs, and compare Humana against the other plans available in your ZIP code.
No. Humana is still offering Medicare Advantage plans in most of the country for 2027. However, it is discontinuing plans covering roughly 600,000 members, pulling standard plans from 57 counties and exiting Minnesota.
The 2026 Part B premium is $202.90 per month and the Part B deductible is $283. CMS announces the 2027 amounts in the fall of 2026. You keep paying your Part B premium with any Humana Medicare Advantage plan.
Depending on your area, Humana offers Medicare Advantage HMO plans (Humana Gold Plus), PPO plans (HumanaChoice), plans for veterans (Humana USAA Honor), Special Needs Plans and standalone Part D drug plans.
Your coverage continues through December 31, 2026. You can choose a new plan during Annual Enrollment or your Special Enrollment Period. If you do nothing, you will return to Original Medicare on January 1, 2027, without drug coverage.
Some Medicare Advantage plans, including some Humana plans in certain areas, reduce your Part B premium by a set amount each month, which shows up as a lower deduction from your Social Security check. Not all plans offer it, and the amount varies by plan and area.
Confirm your doctors are in network, check that your prescriptions are covered, and compare total costs, including the premium, deductibles and out-of-pocket maximum. Also compare Humana against other plans in your ZIP code.
